More of 🤔

What could you do more of?

I could paint, read, write, laugh, dance, travel, spend time with friends…

I could do more of a lot of things, but sometimes, confidence can be a hindrance 🤔🌻

Maybe, I should give myself time, be good to myself, be kind to myself.

That’s what I could do more of – be KIND to myself! 😊

‘Grandmother’

What’s the best piece of advice you’ve ever received?

My beautiful Grandmother lived until she was 103yrs young.

Just before she passed, she said to me “Always wear the most beautiful underwear, you never know what might happen or who you may meet”

She was a legend 🫣😂🥰

SOUNDS OF SILENCE

What’s your all-time favorite album?

My all-time favourite album has to be my photo albums. You know the ones 🤔, the book of pages with transparent plastic sleeves that you insert your beautifully captured prints. The images you await, in eager anticipation to be developed and printed.

An album filled with images of loved ones, places visited, those cherished moments and happenings. An album to review and relive those wonderful memories.

The photos themselves adorned with stains, smudges, fingerprints, lip prints etc. where they have been lovingly touched, caressed, kissed throughout their time in the album.

An album you can open, touch, smell, and revisit forever.

I think I’m showing my age here 🤣🤣

Which topics would you like to be more informed about?

This is an impossible question to answer🤷‍♀️, my poor brain cells can’t cope with it 🤪. There are so many topics I would like to be more informed about 🤔.

So my answer is ‘everything’ 😁

What would your life be like without music?

If there is no music, there is no dancing.

If there is no dancing, there is no making love.

If there is no making love, there is no music.

How do you celebrate holidays?

How do I celebrate holidays?

Festive Holidays: My Mother was/is a Jehovahs Witness, so as children my sisters and I didn’t get to celebrate Christmas.

I do not follow my mother’s religious values. So now, I enjoy the Christmas festivities with friends. I love the twinkling lights, the Xmas songs, watching the idealistic Xmas movies, the joyous laughter, the festive food, and of course a few tipples to wash it all down with 🤪.

Recreational Holidays: I love to travel, to see as much of the world as I can. Anywhere near, on, or in the ocean 🌊🐟🐠⛵️. I love to sail and scuba dive; the Maldives, the Great Barrier Reef, the Caribbean oceans. The ocean to me, is both calming and therapeutic. It can also be extremely volatile and dangerous…you have to respect it. I love to celebrate nature in all its beauty 😁.

‘Trust’

Share a lesson you wish you had learned earlier in life.

Not to trust so readily. As a child I trusted my family, more specifically, my parents.

However, they were the least trustworthy people in my life. I looked up to them for guidance, love, encouragement, emotional growth.

My parents didn’t give me any of these things.

But, as a child I did trust my parents. So, the lesson for me is 🤔…
