The Architectural Marvels of a UNESCO Capital City

(10) Where Was I ?

It is a Capital City, and the old part was declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1982. The city lies on a bay with a protected harbour.

It is a place where you dance the salsa, drink mojitos, and smoke the odd cigar or two. The city is renowned for its literature, architecture, politics, folklore, music, and of course, the Rum!

Enjoy your visit to this vibrant City.

  1. I went there in 2000 on a medical mission. I sat through 3 hours of a speech given by Fidel Castro and attended the Folklorico. It was exciting, but scary when they wouldn’t let us leave! I recognize some of these photos.
