  1. An enormous congratulations Sara. What an engaging and vivid piece which speaks to so many things in our world. Naked and alone the woman in the cage, makes me think of so many things right now, but first I think of the rise in slavery and there are so many kinds of slavery in our Country and around the world. Just an amazing piece of art!

    1. Thank you so much Joni! I was somewhat nervous putting forward this painting for exhibition, for some reason I didn’t think it would be chosen. Plus, it’s putting myself out there. I also wanted the viewer to have their own interpretation within the piece – in which you have; I’m so pleased.
Thank you again for your words of encouragement. 🌺

      1. It is brilliant Sara. The woman with the exaggerated boot – and the shadow underneath that which looks like an exposed child. The broken stone much like a broken life or Country. The one remaining green leaf on a bare tree, the glazed over look on the second face of the same person, the toppled figure of Lady Liberty along with Justice, and the monstrous face in an evil void and the caged young girl, you have touched on the state of the world and made a personal statement as well. I would not be surprised if there were a bidding war for this piece. BRAVO! So happy for you Sara.

      2. Poetry, and all forms of art are read, gazed upon for hours at a time and I believe those who hide from reality are partly to blame for the repeated horrors that plague our world. I applaud your courage and people turned their heads from the holocaust, while knowing what was happening. This piece is so timely. Congratulations again. 🤗❤️
