Mastering the Art of Truth Detection

What’s a secret skill or ability you have or wish you had?

A secret skill or ability I have or wish to have…🤔

Well, if I were to tell you my secret skill or ability it wouldn’t be a secret anymore – now would it 🤷‍♀️

I would love the ability to call out a liar. I’m too trusting (even though I’ve spent a lifetime surrounded by liars) and give the benefit of doubt too readily.

Thus, I would love to walk away from lies before they even finish the first sentence.

Happy Monday! ❤️

  1. This is such a great post! When I want to know if someone is lying, I look for inconsistencies in what they are saying or pay attention to gut reactions. Thanks for sharing, and have a good day 🙂 Aiva xx

  2. I strongly believe that giving multiple chances to liars ina hope that they would improve is an absolute waste of time….it’s always better to move on from such a waste

  3. How did you take that photo?
Please tell me your secret skill, I want to know 🤣

Sometimes lies are to protect or for the greater good. The motive or intention is what we need to understand… it is subjective.

  4. Sara, great post! There are some really fascinating YTs about the myriad “tells” people do when they’re lying… looking away, touching their ear lobe, rubbing their nose… etc. I did a quick search and found one that seemed to cover the basics. Next best thing until Q comes with something for 007 😉

    1. Hey, thank you so much for the video Darryl! Some interesting ‘tells’ – I’ll be on super alert looking for all these signs. I’m sure Q will come up with an instant eye that detects a lie within seconds for the next 007 (me). 😉
I watched a true crime documentary a few days ago, a psychologist was outlining a liars body language – it was fascinating. 😎

  5. Hi Sara
We want to be able to lie more charmingly and entertainingly.
What’s judged as a lie is often either moralistic or highly subjective.

  6. If someone is lying to you and you don’t detect that, you just need to follow that person’s life because sooner or later the liar steps in the mouse trap and that’s it the liar has no place to go after that 😊 Happy New week to you 🌺

    1. Thank you Laura ❤️. I took this photo when I was in Lisbon. I didn’t know I had it until I went through my pics. Have a wonderful day Laura, I hope you are well and not working too many night shifts! 😊❤️
