Passionate About Painting and Gardening: Activities that Absorb Me

What activities do you lose yourself in?

What activities do I lose myself in…

I can’t say I lose myself in any activity. The activities where I get totally absorbed has to be painting and gardening. I also love a bit of construction and DIY.

      1. I’m good. Just plodding along with my writing, cleaning, spring cleaning- I’ve just got to hear myself up to go pick up all the downed branches out my back garden!! There’s a lot!!! Meh lol

      1. Oooh little girl is good isn’t she 😅. I’ll tell her tomorrow.
No pain no gain isn’t it.
I shall definitely come and lie down one day, I just hope it comes soon 🤨.

      1. We’ve had a few really bright days (no rain) but it is still very cold! Time for a bit of tidying up in the garden & thinking of a visit to North Wales again, for later! Anglesey, maybe? Love it there!

      2. Yes! Portmeirion is lovely! Apart from visits to our daughters in SE England we’ve not had holidays since Covid & since then ferry prices have rocketed! Being in our mid 70’s shouldn’t stop us travelling but airfares are too high & airports for us are a nightmare; even the ferry crossing to Scotland is now very pricey! We’ve had lovely holidays on Anglesey & in North Wales; I’d love us to return before we become too decrepit! 😉

      3. Yes, I understand what you’re saying… travel prices are ridiculously high. You’ve got a long way to go before being too decrepit – not when my grandmother was still travelling at 103 years old! 😉😅

      4. You’re confused? Me, born in Armagh, the ancient northern capital of Ireland but lived in southern England for nearly 30 years before returning to Northern Ireland, still in the UK but could conceivably end up in the Republic of Ireland, even in my lifetime! Say no more than “may the best team win!”. 🤝

      1. Thank you Sara! It is a lovely day and finally the sun has broken through, it is rather chilly (8 degrees) but nice. The noise… well, until the 20th it will be unavoidable as the thing here is to make explosions with firecrackers big and small, allowed, supposedly, only until 0100 hours but last night they were still at it at 0400 hours! But, that’s Valencia during Les Falles. All the best to you and a fab week-end! 🌞🌼🌞🍷🙏

      2. I’m glad you’ve finally got a bit of sun, it does lift the spirits!
Oh, 04.00hrs! Not good, and for another five days 😱.
Im sure you’ll still enjoy your weekend, despite the firecrackers! 😊🍷🌻🌞
