Where would you go on a shopping spree?
Where would I like to go on a shopping spree…
Art materials are not cheap. If I had the funds, I would spend a whole day in an art materials store. I would buy a variety of brushes in all shapes, materials and sizes. I would wander along taking in all the vibrant, richly pigmented paint and pastel colours. I would purchase rolls of fine canvas and handmade watercolour paper. What a dream… 🎨🖌️🖼️👩🏻🎨
Secondly, I would go on a ‘power tool’ shopping spree – I just love them!
Finally, a lady never has too many pairs of shoes! 🥿👠🥾👢👡💃
Happy Sunday! ❤️
Hi Sara, I hope you will have time to look at my first artwork in a while that I posted today and leave me with some honest feedback. Thanks!

God, art tools are definitely in fact not cheap! I haven’t drawn much but I remember when I was in art class the money it cost for some drawing graphite pencils ✏️ omg 😱 🤑 💸 💰

It certainly is expensive! Can’t believe how much it costs now for canvas and watercolour paper! I need to do a heist 🤪🤣😂

I can relate to the art materials. My son knew what he wanted then and now little girl can’t have enough.
I agree, women and shoes 😍😍😍

sara, you know i just finished a rudimentary sketch using my iPad and their new iPad pencil. I used a program they offered on the app store. this is the first, rather competent drawing (planned, largely customized) that i’ve been able to do with the digital medium since I first tried it 2 years ago. i felt like the learning curve was much too hard for me but that it could possibly be easier for artists that have had experience using different tools – artists like you.
have you ever tried the digital medium? or do you still prefer the analog sense of touching the tools and feeling the work surface? i’ve wanted to paint as well, but you’re right materials aren’t cheap. the digital programs allowed me to wade into the experiment at a profoundly cost effective rate.
also, some time ago I had to replace a whole swath of power tools id used for a long time. i decided to just go with one brand for one interchangeable battery system. it was a lot of fun buying up all the tools i needed lol. it wasn’t alot of tools but it was a nice distraction. Mike

Hi Mike, to be honest I’ve never tried digital drawing or painting. I think I would find it too restrictive. I’m useless with technology as well 😅.
I love large canvas’s so I can spread the medium – using my hands as well as brushes. So, I don’t think I would find it easy at all. With anything, I guess it’s practice, practice and more practice.
I too have gone with DeWalt tools with interchangeable batteries. I love my power tools, they take pride of place alongside my paint brushes.
I hope you continue with your digital drawings…I think it’s fab!
Happy Sunday Mike! 👩🏻🎨🌞

She even started our house to he her museum, exhibiting her artwork in just a paper. It gets messy, and I was opposed to it.🤭
I said, when you have a canvas, then you can exhibit already.
