Are you more of a night or morning person?

The answer to this question is dependent on what is happening in my life at any particular time. I’ve had a number of jobs in the past where I have had to rise from my bed at 3am. I have worked split shifts on a rolling ten day pattern, to a 9am-5pm working day. Thankfully, no more.

But now: 🦉

I often paint and write in the evenings/early hours of the morning. My creative mind comes alive when the outside world is silent, dark, it somehow feels safer. Safer in the knowledge that the majority of people are asleep. 👩🏻‍🎨

  3. Being creative doesn’t have a fixed time for me. I have to work around the garden, fixing something, finding a plumber……and so it goes. Mornings are good for a walk, especially in winter…sometimes I wake up at 3 or 4am and there is an idea going around in my head but I can’t define it…it has to wait…often it is best when I have a cup of strong tea or a good coffee! It’s 9.30pm and I’m off to bed soon. So no more computer tonight! Sweet dreams everyone…..😴

  14. You said it right Sara, the right time of the day, or the best time is dependent upon what is happening in one’s life at a given time. When I was in the military I had to work nights, and all hours, the same when I started in the police, so the best time changed around a lot. Now I find my energy more in the morning…

      Yes, I did notice, you too, are a night bird. There is something quite special about night time ‘space’ isn’t there?

      1. The night is magical, the eyes light up, we no longer see the defects… Everything is mysterious, we judge less…😊
