What alternative career paths have you considered or are interested in?
When I was a child and teenager, I aspired to be a world class athlete. That didn’t happen! 🤷♀️
I’ve had numerous jobs, my first job (8 yrs old) was assisting the local milk man delivering milk to peoples homes. The days when milk was in glass bottles and placed on your doorstep each morning. Getting up at 3am every morning wasn’t the best, but there was something quite liberating, being up, out and about, when most people were still asleep in their beds. I did that job for three years.
My next job, I was now 11yrs old, I worked in a turkey farm ‘plucking’ turkeys. Eeek…a very messy & smelly role!
I’ve worked in a shoe shop…smelly feet!
Airport catering (inflight meals)…yuk food!
Bar person…didn’t like being on that side of the bar 😠.
Office work…boring!
Supermarket ‘online shopper’…they paid me to get & keep fit 🤗. But my brain cells died!
College lecturer in Art & Design…I love teaching, interacting, facilitating, encouraging, supporting, communicating, debating, laughing, and more importantly, learning from the students/learners themselves. I wouldn’t want it any other way.
Ok, I didn’t become a world class athlete…but we can’t have it all, can we? 🤷♀️😁
We can’t have it all. But I’m glad that you love your current job. In this world, if you don’t wake up with Monday blues over the fact that you have to go to work, that in itself is a huge achievement 💜

Thank you, Daisy! 😊 Some interesting jobs! As with all of us, I suspect: We learn new skills along the way. The challenges, the highs and lows and perseverance. 😁😁💛

My friend, world-class athlete or not, you’ve definitely run the marathon of odd jobs! From milk delivery at dawn to turkey-plucking and smelly feet—now that’s a real endurance test.
But landing in teaching? You’ve finally crossed the finish line with a job that’s a perfect fit. No sneakers required!

To be honest . I was a milkman my self . I have also worked in farms . I think these jobs are better than office works . There is a sort of peace when you are away from world and between the animals. I find it peacefull . I will go back to farms again after getting alot of money here . That’s the end plan . 😘

Hehe…I didn’t take your comment the wrong way lol😂😂.
I was much younger and fitter in my running days…no longer 🤪😁.
That’s the trouble with any creative subject…to earn a living from it is soooo difficult.
I would love to be an ‘artist’ and make millions 🤞😁.

This is actually something interesting to me! 😊 I’ve worked a lot of different “odd” jobs too and i can confirm when you’ve had a lot of “eclectic” type jobs office work is so freakin boring 😆 I feel you on being up at 3am when everyone else is asleep 😊 ✨ 💕
What sport did you want to be a world class athlete in?! 😁

You learn a lot about yourself when you do a lot of random jobs🤔. As you know… getting up at ‘stupid a clock’ is not easy 🤪🙃. And yes, office work…insanely boring!!! I was County runner, 1500 mtrs. I wanted to run in the Olympics! Never mind😂😂
What would you like to do? 🤔

Haha 🤣 I read my original comment back and I’m like “I hope she knows I don’t mean her posts aren’t interesting,” 🤦♀️ 😜 I mean that I find the different types of jobs people have held tell a lot about a person and then you confirmed that for me! 😆 I think it definitely tells a lot about our character and what kind of person we are too in ways 😊
That’s awesome!! 👏 go you!! Running is so hard for me.
As far as jobs? Man, I have a whole list 🤣 😆 I guess, if I had a choice on what I’d like to do it’d be photography or being a forest ranger (but neither really pays!) lol 😂 😂
