What makes a good neighbor?
What makes a good neighbour?
This is an easy one to answer…I have absolutely no idea. 🤔
Born in England, I moved house 48 times during my childhood. Therefore, I didn’t really get to know my neighbours. At 16yrs of age, I moved to Wales. Wow…I’d only gone 50 miles from Bristol (England) to Cardiff (Wales). I was an Alien 👽!!!
Anyway, I’ve been in my current home for nearly six years now. I’ve had one conversation with my immediate neighbour. I live in a city where they/we look after our selves.
I’m now an honorary Welsh person, as I’m told.
What makes a good neighbour? I still have no idea 🤔.
This is so relatable…

Well, if we were neighbours, we’d be sipping and chatting all the time 🙂 Shame my Welsh butt is living in the States lol 🙂

Ah, 48 moves, from England to Wales—no wonder you feel like an intergalactic traveler!
One chat with a neighbor in six years? That’s practically a Welsh friendship record!
Don’t worry, Sara Allwright, after all those moves, you’ve achieved what few can—mastery in neighborly invisibility! 😃😃

I’ve always wanted to be invisible…so yes, it appears I’ve achieved my goal. I would have more interactions if I lived on the moon 🌝😂😂

I think sometimes keeping to yourself can also make you a good neighbour.

I agree…I keep to myself, I like my privacy, my space, to do as I please. No harm to anyone that way 🤗

That’s exactly right. My husband and I keep to ourselves though we smile at our neighbours if our paths cross and the occasional hello

I think that’s the best way….well, each to their own etc.

Being a good neighbor as long as you do not harm your neighbor, you are a good neighbor, no matter what, you are wonderful

Haha….so true, but sad,,my mum looked after a young couple’s children, giving them breakfast and bringing them to school with me.It was because the chap’s wife was in the latter stages of cancer.I don’t even know how the arrangement came about,we were 3 or 4 doors down.I really admired my late mum for doing stuff like that.
