Your life without a computer: what does it look like?
Life without a computer 🤔
Walking around a grocery store; touch, smell, prod, poke the produce before selecting the goods. Rather than selecting produce with a few taps on the keyboard and delivered to your doorstep 🚛.
Physically seeing, consulting with GP’s and medical professionals. Not the online questionnaires and video appointments.
Instead of ‘google’. The library is full of beautiful books, the aroma of the well read pages 📚📖.
Speaking, communicating face to face with people. The sound and tone of their voice, body language, facial expressions 🤪. Rather than text, email..blah blah blah.
However, I wouldn’t be communicating with all you lovely people without my computer 👩💻😁✨
Life with a computer is very useful, but we miss out on real life experiences we would get in person rather than on a screen.

Absolutely…I agree. It has reduced real human interaction 😏

Computers really get me through school! Definitely love having it to search stuff and get work done.

It’s a necessary tool now….it has its benefits, but also it’s pitfalls 😁

I think that this is interesting. I would like to see how life without technology would be for a couple of weeks. I really like the idea, though.

I can’t imagine a world without technology now 🤔. It’s an idealistic thought, real human interaction 😁

As a Software developer for over 30 years, I look forward to setting the keyboard and pager aside. I won’t be able to unplug, but I hope to tap into more creative uses for the keyboard. Thanks for posting this terrific content!! 🙏

A great post, Sarah, thanks for sharing your world with us 🙂
I should add, though, that I have social anxiety, so the internet is a savior for me. Books in the library are atmospheric, but you can’t take them with you forever. Also, they’re quite fragile, and if you’re a student writing a thesis at the moment… You’d definitely prefer online libraries, articles, sources, and eBooks. And – oh no – even Google.
I also prefer to order clothes and try them on at home – it is more hygienic this way 🙂

I too have social anxiety, so I totally understand what you’re saying. I order almost everything online: groceries, clothes, Amazon etc.
I wish you all the best with writing your thesis, not an easy task 😁🌻

It’s quicker too, right? But we’re addicted.
Haha, my answer misled you a bit—I already wrote it and defended it, but I still remember the writing process 😀

Hehe…it is certainly quicker, and no stress 😃✨

Life without a computer? More library visits, grocery trips, and awkward small talk with strangers. No memes, no online chats—just face-to-face conversations. Honestly, sounds exhausting. I’ll stick with my screen! 😄

😂😂 It does sound exhausting doesn’t it! 😱🤪

Exactly! Who knew surviving without memes could feel like running a marathon in flip-flops? 😅

I think I’ll jump back into bed with my laptop, I need a rest just thinking about it 🫣😂

Sounds like a solid plan! Resting with your laptop is basically a work-from-home nap—multitasking at its finest! Enjoy the cozy vibes! 🛌💻😄
