This city is one of the oldest cities in the world. It is nicknamed the “City of the Seven Hills”

J.K Rowling moved here in 1991 and it was here that she wrote the first three chapters of the book ‘Harry Potter and the Philosophers Stone’.

(4) Where am I?

A surrealistic geological formation of sand dunes.

These dunes consist of seven different coloured sand, (red, brown, violet, green, blue, purple & yellow) which settle in different layers.

These layers were formed by volcanic eruptions millions of years ago.

This spectacular waterfall is fed by three streams pouring into the river below. The waterfall is approx. 100 mtrs high.

Awww….they also have the amazing Aldabra tortoises in residence.

Do you get the feeling you’re being eyeballed? …..hehe

I am in the “Chamarel Seven Coloured Earths”, in the Rivière Noire District in south-western Mauritius.

The marina opened in 1859. Copper smelting had become a major activity in the lower valley in the 18th century, due to the plentiful supplies of coal. This area earned the nickname “coppercropolis’.

In 1905, a French sailing ship, ‘St Patrick’ exploded and sank in the South Dock. The dock closed in 1969 and reopened as a marina in 1982.

It holds the record for the ‘longest non-stop single track cable car”, at 5,801 mtrs in length. It is 1,487 mtrs from sea level.

I took the cable car journey back in 2014, a year after it opened. It was a wonderful experience, looking over the mountains, the trees and the waterfalls below.

I am in ‘Ba na hills‘ in the Truong Son Mountains, Da Nang, Vietnam.

What could I try?🤔

What could you try for the first time?

I would love to go up in a hot air balloon. Float around and enjoy panoramic views of the landscape. It somehow, feels quite romantic. ❤️

I have done a lot of scuba diving in the past, in various locations around the world. But the deepest I have dived is 45 metres. I would like to explore some of the more remote and deeper parts of the ocean.

Therefore, I could delve deeper in our oceans in a fully submersible glass submarine. How wonderful! 🤗❤️

What is your favorite hobby or pastime?

I have many hobbies, but my all time favourite has to be ‘travel’, exploring new Countries.
