My one magic genie wish would be:

I will need more than three wishes to rectify the numerous world issues.

What alternative career paths have you considered or are interested in?
When I was a child and teenager, I aspired to be a world class athlete. That didnāt happen! š¤·āāļø
Iāve had numerous jobs, my first job (8 yrs old) was assisting the local milk man delivering milk to peoples homes. The days when milk was in glass bottles and placed on your doorstep each morning. Getting up at 3am every morning wasnāt the best, but there was something quite liberating, being up, out and about, when most people were still asleep in their beds. I did that job for three years.
My next job, I was now 11yrs old, I worked in a turkey farm āpluckingā turkeys. Eeekā¦a very messy & smelly role!
Iāve worked in a shoe shopā¦smelly feet!
Airport catering (inflight meals)ā¦yuk food!
Bar personā¦didnāt like being on that side of the bar š .
Office workā¦boring!
Supermarket āonline shopperāā¦they paid me to get & keep fit š¤. But my brain cells died!
College lecturer in Art & Designā¦I love teaching, interacting, facilitating, encouraging, supporting, communicating, debating, laughing, and more importantly, learning from the students/learners themselves. I wouldnāt want it any other way.

What food would you say is your specialty?
I donāt really have a speciality, I love eating and cooking lots of different foods. But, I do love a good roast dinner with lotās of crispy roast potatoes, a selection of steamed vegetables, Yorkshire pud and lashings of rich gravyā¦with a good slug of red wine in it. ā¤ļøš
What major historical events do you remember?
The two main major historical events that I remember are:
1. 9/11 Twin Tower attacks.
2. The COVID -19 Pandemic.
An event I would not remember, but a catastrophic major event that occurred here in Wales on 21st October 1966: The Aberfan Disaster.
A disaster that happened at Merthyr Vale Colliery. 150,000 tonnes of coal waste, mud and debris collapsed and slid down the mountain side. The landslide destroyed many homes and buried the village junior school.
144 lives were lost; 116 children and 28 adults. It killed 50% of the towns children.
The disaster became one of the worst coal mining accidents in the UK.
Whatās the biggest risk youād like to take ā but havenāt been able to?
Iāve taken many risks in my life. Iām certainly not adverse to taking risksā¦itās exciting! Donāt get me wrong, Iāve made many bad decisions. Iāve taken risks where Iāve fallen flat on my face.
But, I will continue to take risks. For goodness sake, getting out of bed in the morning is a risk š¤.
Itās a matter of weighing up the proās & conās of a specific scenario.
In conclusionā¦is there a risk Iād like to do but havenāt been able to?
The answer is no.
If I want to do something, I will give it a go. Lifeās too short not to try!
PS. My risk taking decisions are based on the possible repercussions to myself. I wouldnāt take risks that could possibly hurt others.
What are you most proud of in your life?
I am proud of my fight to stay alive.
I fought to stay focused.
I fought to stay strong.

I fought to have a voice.

What am I most proud of in my life?
I am alive.

What have you been working on?
This is such a broad question š¤.
I am currently working on a number of things and there are many facets to my answers:
Two paintings; one I started about 10 yrs agoā¦š±, Iām now ready to revisit, and finish it. The other painting I started four days ago and I āthinkā itās in its final stages of completion. š
Iām working on the final chapter of my āmemoirā.
Completing a summer house Iām constructing in my garden.
Finally, but more importantly, Iām working on myself. Healing; both physically and psychologically.
