If you could live anywhere in the world, where would it be?

Honestly…I don’t know! 🤔

I’ve only lived in the UK, albeit nearly 50 locations. But none of them have ever felt like home. I have no affiliation or desire to stay or live in any of them.

For me, there is this huge dichotomy between the idealistic associations of ‘home’…stability, familiarity, security, family, etc.

And my idealistic idea of moving…move away from my homeland. The freedom of roaming from one place to another; live, explore, and experience different countries.

So, in truth, I would like to live somewhere/elsewhere/everywhere. Where, I don’t know!???

Somewhere with sunnier climes would be preferable! ☀️😍

(7) Where am I?

This historic town is located on the Mediterranean coast, known as the Turquoise coast. It has a vast sweeping bay with the Taurus mountains as a backdrop.

The town is built into the hillside with panoramic views of the surrounding landscape and sea. It has a beautiful harbour, which was formerly, a small coastal trading port.

Not to mention, the glorious roof top restaurants! 😋😋😋

I am in Kalkan, Turkey.

What’s the coolest thing you’ve ever found (and kept)?

The coolest thing I ever found (and kept):

I was around 8 or 9 years old. I was walking to school (one of the few occasions I went), and there in front of me, on the pavement, was a £10 note. I looked around to see if anyone else was present. No one, I was alone. I picked up the note and slipped it into my coat pocket.

I had been saving up for a skateboard for several months. The following morning I got my wheels! I was elated 😍

But, the most precious thing I ever found (a recent find) is my VOICE!

A find I hope to keep.

Banality of breakfast

Irritated by ironing

Dreariness of dusting

Humdrum of hoovering

Tedium of tidying

And of course:

I was present and witnessed…

Pope Benedict XVI last public Mass, held in St Peter’s Basilica, Vatican, Vatican City, Rome… on Ash Wednesday 13th February 2013.
