Relax

How do you relax?

How do I relax?

Potter in my garden: weather dependant…always raining in Wales!

Reading: migraine dependant.

Make Love: hormone dependant.

Spend time with family: I don’t have any.

Chill out with friends: they are all bloody married and busy with hubby.

Go on holiday: no one to go with.

Cooking: would love to cook for others, not just for myself.

Painting: keeps me from my bed for days.

Writing my memoir: emotionally draining.

So, what do I do to relax? Jump in the hot tub with a glass of wine 🫧🫧🍷😍

Five up a word

If you had to give up one word that you use regularly, what would it be?

I cannot answer this question 🤔.

There are many words that I use regularly that I would rather not use, but I don’t think I can give up any of them at the moment. They are relevant. So I won’t bore you with my endless list.

So, it’s not a matter of giving up one word, it’s more about not having the need to use a specific ‘word‘.

If that makes any sense? 🤔🤪

Grudge

Are you holding a grudge? About?

Am I holding a grudge? No

I have experienced some awful traumas in my life.

But do I hold a grudge? No

I was the victim, they were the perpetrators.

Do I hold a grudge? No

You cannot heal if you hold a grudge.

So, No, I do not hold a grudge.

I am a survivor, I am healing.

That’s because I don’t hold a grudge.

Well, that’s my thoughts 🤔

Furthest Traveled

Share a story about the furthest you’ve ever traveled from home.

I was 23yrs old when I first traveled abroad, the first time I had been on an aeroplane. My son was 10 months old. Wow, it was a long and tumultuous flight. We departed from London Heathrow to Sydney, Australia. It wasn’t a direct flight, I don’t think there was a direct flight then, not sure if there is one now.

We had two refuelling stops en route; Singapore and India.

Having never flown before I didn’t know or had experienced turbulence. WOW…my son was thrown out of his cot and hit the ceiling of the aeroplane. The flight crew looked terrified, there were numerous passengers praying in the aisles. I myself, was laughing…hysterically!

The journey, overall, took over forty hours.

I was laughing hysterically because I was terrified.

But, I have flown again many times since 🤗.

Ideal Home

What does your ideal home look like?

This is my 48th home, not actually mine because I rent it. But it is still my home. It’s a little bungalow with a lot of my artwork hung on the walls. I have a studio room where I paint. The conservatory is full of plants and a comfy chair where I can observe the garden and watch my resident hedgehogs trundle about.

The garden is totally enclosed with plants I tenderly care for. This is my ideal home. It’s my safe space. I love it 😍

Blog

Why do you blog?

Why do I blog?

I am relatively new to this blogging. I’m not entirely sure why I blog 🤔. But it is a platform to express one’s thoughts, ideas, passions, and it enables me to speak, divulge my feelings etc. quite freely.

But more importantly, I enjoy, intrigued, and love to read other peoples blogs. I have learnt so much.

It has opened up my world of thoughts 🤗. It has given me ‘hope’ in mankind.

Daily Habit

What daily habit do you do that improves your quality of life?

Every morning, when I awake, I sit in my garden with a freshly brewed mug of tea. I reflect on the previous day. I inspect my garden plants and I’m always in awe of how beautiful nature is.

Every day I write in my journal/diary; my thoughts, feelings, observations, happenings…everything. That is something I’ve done since I was a very young child. I couldn’t imagine not doing that 😱, definitely a daily habit!

Online Search

What was the last thing you searched for online? Why were you looking for it?

‘How to get rid of fungus gnats on a houseplant?’

My gnat killing regime consists of;

Sprinkling ground cinnamon all over the surface of the soil.

Set up vinegar traps.

Insert slices of potato into the soil daily.

When the soil is totally dry, drench the soil with hydrogen peroxide.

Sprinkle diatomaceous earth all over the surface of the soil.

Spray the room with lavender. Repeat all these steps for a fortnight to a month.

What hardy little blighters they are 🤬🤬. They are driving me nuts!
